Beschreibung:

Der RAS900 wird vormontiert mit einer integrierten Zubehörtasche und einer laminierten MDF-Platte geliefert. Die in sich geschlossene Struktur bietet Platz für die notwendigen Teile wie Zaun- und Fräs-Bits. Im Lieferumfang des RAS900 enthalten ist ein Schutzgitter, Federbrett, Gehrungslehre und Biteinsätze; zusammen mit einem hohen Zaun mit verstellbaren laminierten MDF-Oberflächen; Doppelfederbretter, ein Starterstift und Schutz für die Unterstützung beim Fräsen von gebogenen Werkstücken; ein Bit-Höhenmesser für einfachere Bit-Setup und Schneidpräzision, und zusätzliche Zubehörstaufächer. Der RAS900 verfügt über eine Schnellwechsel-Fräserhalterung, die in Sekunden angebracht und abgenommen werden kann. Ein effizientes faltbares Design bedeutet, dass der Tisch vormontiert geliefert wird und die Beine können zur Aufbewahrung zusammengeklappt werden.       Zugegeben in diesem Preissegment findet man kaum etwas - also habe ich den Artikel mit der "besten Bewertung" bestellt.
      Positiv ist, dass die Lieferung deutlich vor dem Ankündigungstermin ankam und ordentlich verpackt war.

      Zu dem was ich mit überdenken meinte:
      - US Stecker und Schalter - also für den Einsatz in der BRD nicht einsetzbar. Ein Umbau ist so aufwändig, dass es sich eher lohnt einen deutschen Schalter nachzubestellen.
      - Die Montage der Oberfräse ist nur mit einem gewissen Aufwand möglich - Aufgrund der Konstruktion verliert man deutlich an Frästiefe. Dies mag von Gerät zu Gerät unterschiedlich sein.
      - Alle Führungsteile sind aus Kunststoff. Eine präzise Einstellung ist in allen Achsen kaum möglich
      - An eine Höheneinstellung wurde nicht gedacht. Dies bedeutet für unterschiedliche Frästiefen entweder Tisch umdrehen, mühsames einstellen am eingebauten Gerät oder eine aufwändige Nachkonstruktion einer Höheneinstellung.
      Persönlich werde den Tisch nicht zurück senden sondern als Grundlage für eine Eigenkonstruktion verwenden.

      Update: When mounting the metal plate to the skill router it can actually go on two ways. The wrong way prevents you from opening the latch to the router that allows you to adjust the height unless you undo the latch that holds the router to the table. That would be a non workable table. If you rotate the plate you can get the router latch in a position that does not interfere with the latch to the router table.

      Also; You can remove and tight the bit with a wrench with the router in the table from underneath the table.

      Arrived in perfect condition. Most of the table was per-assembled. The rest was quite easy to do. I have been reading about router tables for a while and this table is high quality and will perfectly will do what I need it to do. For those that feel they should have got a better table, the most good fences cost more than this whole table.

      I could not find a table that supported Skil Routers without having to drill the table or used brackets. I love how this table mounts the router easy to take out and put in and installed very stable.

      The miter is nothing special but is functional. I doubt it is very accurate but I am sure for a hundred dollars you can get a nice one. The featherbords work well. The fence is very nice and the table smooth.

      For the non professional homeowner woodworker this is a great table for the price. I doubt for the price you will get a better Router Table.

      I have just bought this RAS900 router table after the usual research. The reviews seemed healthy, Skil is a well known brand and the price tag was attractive. Simply, it ticked all the right boxes for my needs.
      However... what wasn't made clear on the Amazon page is that it comes direct from the US, and consequently is wired for 125v, with American plug sockets for the router and vacuum, and of course the table itself to plug into the mains. Hmmmph. So the built-in stop/start function is useless over here, which was a big disappointment.
      The obvious option is to use a 2-way extension lead for the router and vacuum (preferably switched for emergency stop), although I am going to take apart the router table electrical box and see if it can be re-designed for 240v. Otherwise it's going in the bin.
      Also, I wanted a table because I have an old Elu router kicking about which seemed a waste. Of course, this table didn't have the right holes for mounting the Elu onto the plate, so I had to make all the new holes myself. Not hard, but annoying when you have to modify a brand new toy!
      So, my summary is that it's a good table - quality seems fine, all the right accessories, like the foldable legs etc, good price, but buy one that's meant to be used in the UK!
      I've since had another look around the sales page and nowhere can I see a 125v spec listed.

      Review update - I've since managed to rewire the supplied box, fortunately the main switch and reset switch are both rated for 250v. I basically ditched the two US sockets and hard-wired the router into the switch, copying the stock wiring exactly. Works fine.

      This is a great router table for the money. Has everything you need - the feather boards both vertical and horizontal are really nice. And, the vacuum attachment works perfectly, although I had to 3D print an adapter as I've had to do with all my tools because the industry doesn't seem to be able to come up with a standard for this. When I use the router table, there's not a single bit of sawdust that's not collected - which was always something that deterred me from using the router more - just too messy.

      Only thing that was strange is that it comes with a silly 1' long power cord to the switch box. Really weird and not sure how they even managed to get through UL approval with that. So, I took the switch box apart and installed a proper 6' long power cord so I don't have to use an extension cord all the time.

      Clamps to a work surface nicely and makes a nice sturdy, functional router table for intermittent use. Not something a professional would probably want, but for the home hobbyist, it's perfect. Folds down to a nice storage size without too much trouble.

      I installed my Ryobi router in it. The mount plate had holes pre-drilled for a number of routers, but didn't seem to fit my Rybobi, although it did say in the manual that it was supposed to support a Ryobi router - must have been a different model. But, with a little measuring I was able to drill holes in the mount plate to work with my router no problem. So, it's very adaptable to routers that it doesn't list as being supported.

      There is not height adjustment in this router table though. So, you have to use a router that has a good height adjustment system of its own - mine was a plunge router so it has a simple lever to adjust height. Otherwise, you're faced with using the arbor to do the adjustment of tool height. Kind of strange because I figured a good router table would have a proper height adjustment system for the router table.

      When I purchased this table I was well aware it was not a high dollar Kreg or other quality table. I had seen this table at a Lowes Store and thought it looked like something I could use. I bought it to make Cedar Bird Houses and Feeders as well as picture frames. When it arrived I unpacked it, did the very little assembly required and mounted atop my table saw with clamps. It was solid so I mounted a Skil router to it, set the bit height on a straight bit and began making small cuts. The cuts were very good. I tried to change a bit from above the table and it was no problem at all. The Skil bit height adjuster gauge works well IF your router has a decent height adjustment. My Skil 1815 does not so it caused some problems, but the table had absolutely nothing to do with it. I managed to do some 3/4" round overs on oak and pine, cut a few 1/8" slots in Cedar for inserting plexiglas panels and then did a bit of V cutting in some Walnut I had for a small picture frame. All of it worked better than I had expected and as well as I had hoped. Now let's get one thing straight here. I am no "expert" woodworker or cabinet maker. I come from 3 generations of them though so whereas I may not be able to produce flawless work, I can recognize it better than most. I never owned a set of Chester Drawers until got married because all of our furniture was custom built into the walls by my Dad and Grandad. With that said I will tell you that this little RAS900 will do a better than adequate job and if you know wood and have a steady hand you can get very good results from it. For the price it is an excellent table. I would not recommend it for a person that makes a living with wood, but for a casual woodworking hobbyist it is definitely worth a second look.

      This is great little table. It's sturdy and we'll built. I like the fact that you can plug your router into the table and use the safety switch on the front of the table itself. The exhaust port is more than ample for the sawdust it produces and it's a standard size port so works with my little Shopvac. It comes with multiple templates and instructions for mounting the router and all major brands of router are covered. The only shortcoming or complaint I have is that the power cord that's built into the table is pretty short. It would have been better if it were longer and/or removable.
      The storage built into the legs is enough to hold the accessories that come with it like the collet adapters and guides.
      I've used it for routing and jointing by putting washers on the one side and using a straight flush bit. Just remember to take the washers out when you're done jointing or you won't be happy with yourself later.
